If you are interested in starting to paddle a kayak, I suggest that you contact a canoe club or canoe center - more information on the Swedish Canoe Federation website.
Want to know more about building a kayak in the wood, there are several very good sites on the web, try eg Thomasson Design , Friedel Design or with Johan Wirsen . John Linder has some really ambitious construction both in other composite materials and fiberglass.
If you're still not quite convinced, go to Erik & Pias page kajak.nu and check around among their great images and turberättelser. There are also links to virtually everything that is good to know on the subject ..
To further educate yourself in sea kayaking and turledning I recommend NIL , Nordic Instructor License for sea kayaking.
