johanssonkajak.com is a website where I will present images and stories from my kayak tours around Sweden, and a little bit about how you can build your own kayak in wood & epoxy.
Is pretty much Upplanders originally but has lived twenty years in the center of town, where I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer .
Founded my interest in water and outdoor activities while growing up in the 60's with my grandparents, when we spent summers in their old converted fishing boat Mosing, around the Stockholm and Aland archipelagos. Continued to sail as an adult but it felt like progress was running away from me there - too much money and plastic for my taste ..
So when I then began to paddle a kayak for a few years ago it was like finding home again ..
Is active in Malmö Canoe Club where I have the opportunity to exercise paddling both as exercise and outdoor activities. Active in the Board since 02 and safety devices purulent late 05th Is certified instructor as NIL . Has also designed and built a number of kayaks and on this website, you can follow the latest builds: Corsa - my touring kayak, and Competizione - one more training / competition-oriented model. In the winter of 09 I built also a new updated version of Corsan - Corsa GT . With some comments on how I think and go about. Stands ready to provide tips and advice, however, I sell no drawings.
The contents of johanssonkajak.com reflects primarily my way of looking at things o things and do not necessarily always have to do with reality. All images are more or less manipulated in the computer and I take the liberty to correct your own images / texts as required. However, I try not to lie / exaggerate too much ..
