Väderöarna Bohuslän 111111-13 Although it was approaching mid november made the lengthy autumn that it was difficult to avoid yet another overnight tour. The weather in the week before was pretty stable, not too much sun, but unfortunately most mist and fog, but unusually mild and almost no wind. So Heidi and I decided to finish the season as we started, in Fjällbacka. Plenty of beautiful islands, decently protected and also - if the forecast held over the weekend - maybe time to get even further out .. (Read more ...)
Fjällbacka Bohuslän 110422-24 Normally, we tend to Easter paddle in Blekinge, but this time we headed north. Firstly the club to Nytäppetträffen in early June, and involves wrinkles unlucky in the Stockholm archipelago that it might not be as much Bohuslän in years. And with a weather forecast that promised sunshine and hardly any wind all weekend attracted archipelago in Fjällbacka more. In addition, we heard that there probably would be more paddlers, both of Michigan, Gothenburg and Stockholm. Fjällbacka Bohuslän 110319-20 It looked a long time like it would be an equally tough winter last year but finally seemed cold finally start to let go. Heidi and I managed to timing a little time off the same weekend as it was promised decent wind, solchans, frost and full moon. We talked a bit back and forward in the weeks before, Blekinge, West Coast or maybe Misterhult, and I actually had all the maps in the car on Saturday morning. Only after having loaded the kayaks and headed out of Malmo, we decided - north, towards Fjällbacka. It was so nice last time we were there in november , foolish to take a chance as well .. Northern Bohuslän 100717-25 Friday morning began with gray skies and a nordostan that blew right into the bay. It was certainly a blue streak along the northern horizon, but it did not seem to have any urgency here. Nothing jättesug to pack and paddle directly, and we had also had a pretty demanding paddling up the day before and felt that we could earn a little recovery .. (Read more ...)
